Alex and Chris’ story technically started back in 2010 though neither of them knew it yet. Alex went to pick up Chris’ brother, Misael (her friend from SDSU), for a trip to King Taco in LA. Destiny had other plans since Chris just happened to be the one who opened the door. Hello's (!!) and friendship was all it was… for the next twelve years.

Over those 12 years, life kept crossing their paths. Misael married one of Alex’s sorority sisters, Viri, officially making their friend groups family. At their wedding in 2021, Misael and Viri may have conveniently arranged for Alex and Chris to walk down the aisle together, planting a seed that would finally bloom the following year.

Fast forward to July 4th 2022, when Chris’ family was clearly hoping sparks would fly. As the night ended, Alex waited for Chris to walk her to her car. Chris, completely missing the moment, said, “Oh, your car is around the corner,” and walked back inside. What he didn’t know was that his siblings were watching the whole thing from the window, waiting for him to make a move—only to greet him with, “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!”

Luckily, Chris got a second chance. A few dates later, and one slightly misunderstood attempt at asking Alex out (she wasn’t saying no, she was just nervous!) ... the rest is history.

From the very beginning, friendship has been the foundation of Alex and Chris’s relationship. They’ve experienced a lot of life together already, and they wouldn’t have it any other way. They’re so excited to keep laughing and building their story, together.

La historia de Alex y Chris comenzó, técnicamente, allá por el año 2010, aunque ninguno de los dos lo sabía todavía. Alex fue a recoger al hermano de Chris, Misael (su amigo de la SDSU), para ir de excursión a King Taco en Los Ángeles. El destino tenía otros planes, ya que dio la casualidad de que fue Chris quien abrió la puerta. Unos saludos (¡!) y una amistad: eso fue todo lo que hubo... durante los siguientes doce años.

A lo largo de esos 12 años, la vida siguió cruzando sus caminos. Misael se casó con una de las compañeras de hermandad de Alex, Viri, convirtiendo oficialmente a sus respectivos grupos de amigos en familia. En su boda, celebrada en 2021, es posible que Misael y Viri orquestaran convenientemente que Alex y Chris recorrieran el pasillo nupcial juntos, sembrando así una semilla que finalmente florecería al año siguiente.

Avancemos hasta el 4 de julio de 2022, fecha en la que la familia de Chris esperaba, con evidente ilusión, que saltaran chispas entre ellos. Al terminar la noche, Alex esperó a que Chris la acompañara hasta su coche. Chris, ajeno por completo a la trascendencia del momento, dijo: «Ah, tu coche está a la vuelta de la esquina», y volvió a entrar en la casa. Lo que él no sabía era que sus hermanos estaban observando toda la escena desde la ventana, esperando a que él diera el paso... solo para recibirlo al grito de: «¡¿QUÉ ESTÁS HACIENDO?!».

Por suerte, Chris tuvo una segunda oportunidad. Unas cuantas citas después —y tras un intento de invitar a salir a Alex que se prestó a un ligero malentendido (¡ella no estaba diciendo que no, solo estaba nerviosa!)—... el resto ya es historia.

Desde el primerísimo momento, la amistad ha sido el pilar fundamental de la relación entre Alex y Chris. Ya han compartido muchas vivencias juntos y no lo querrían de ninguna otra manera. Les hace muchísima ilusión seguir riendo y construyendo su historia, el uno junto al otro.
